We're a small business based on the NSW Northern Rivers. We began with creating reusables for use by our family. There has been some intense product testing along the way, with two then-teenage daughters (hint: don't drain sausages on unpaper towels, unless you want to use a lot of stain remover).

So where did the name Hazel come from? Hazel is a name that we loved! She represents the resilient women who lived through the Great Depression ("use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without"). Hazel made the best of what she had while looking after her family and kept on smiling.

This attitude is our inspiration for caring about the world around us and doing the best we can with what we have. It means choosing eco-friendly products instead of single use disposables, being mindful of our own wastage and being kind. 

These choices may not change the world but they can change our lives.
